7th Annual Beaver Creek Colorado-Eagle River Ride
July 26, 2008
100 Mile, 100 Km and 42 mile Road Ride

SOS Outreach and Vail Velo would like to thank all of the participants, sponsors and volunteers who joined us for the 2008 Beaver Creek Colorado-Eagle River Ride. We registered over 1,000 riders for the first time in the event's history, and we had a great day of cycling in the Vail Valley. The community made our success possible. We look forward to seeing you on the road again next year. Stay tuned for the event date and registration details.

Jersey Status

Eagle County's seventh Beaver Creek Colorado-Eagle River Ride - a one-day, 100-mile, 100 Km or 42-mile bicycle ride looping from Beaver Creek to Wolcott up CO Highway 131 to Colorado River Road down to Dotsero and back to Beaver Creek - is back!

The ride takes cyclists through the Eagle River Valley up the rural setting of Highway 131 and along the Colorado River. Most importantly, proceeds from the event will go to SOS Outreach. This year's ambassador is Mike Kloser, three time EcoChallenge winner and former World Cup Mountain Bike champion.

Why Ride?
The Beaver Creek Colorado-Eagle River Ride is an important fund-raiser for the nonprofit organization, SOS Outreach, or SOS.

A Word About Safety
Riders are required to wear ANSI or SNELL approved helmets, ride in accordance with State of Colorado traffic laws, ride single file, and stay to the right side of the road. Colorado State Patrol and local officials will issue citations for failure to do so. Colorado weather changes quickly, and this course should be hot. Participants must wear rider identification.
